I love filtered coffee so refuse to buy instant coffee because it’s just not the same. However, due to the fact that my girlfriend doesn’t like coffee there is always coffee left over because there’s only so much caffeine one person can drink.
Today I noticed the 2 cup desktop filter coffee maker advertised on gadgets.co.uk and thought it could be the answer to throwing away excess coffee.
It works like any regular coffee machine but is in compact and design to deliver two cups of coffee per serving. The device comes with two mini mugs which are designed to fit neatly under the two dispensing tubes.
The machine will also allow you fill mugs up to the height of 9cms so you don’t have to have a small drink if you don’t have to.
It’s priced at £16.99 and available now.

As you’re probably aware the latest fad in the world of gadgets is 3D technology and it’s being utilised in TV’s, DVD’s, games consoles and TV broadcasting. However, all of these require you to wear a special pair of glasses which enable the viewing of 3D images.
Nintendo are going to be the first company to mass produce the first 3D technology without the use of special glasses. Their 3DS hand held games console, which will be released in March, will revolutionise the games market and is sure to be on top of wish lists around the Country.

The Nintendo 3DS is very similar to the standard DS so you’ll still be able to play the original games on the new device as well as the upcoming 3D versions.

One disappointing point about the 3DS is that children aged 6 and under won’t be allowed to play them due to risk with their eye health.

If you want to catch a glimpse at the hand held console in action click here for your local preview centre.

Whilst we’re still experiencing cold weather in the UK why not consider buying a pair of touch screen gloves for a loved one, friend or even yourself.
With almost all the latest phones incorporating touch screen technology it’s very difficult if not impossible to operate the device whilst wearing traditional gloves. So, I recommend trying a pair touch screen gloves which resolve this problem.
The reason why normal gloves won’t let you operate your phone is because they don’t conduct electricity. Touch screen gloves overcome this issue by having special conductive material applied to the thumb, index and middle fingers.
You’ll be able to play games, check your email and browse your photos whilst still keeping your hands warm.
There are different types available such as, the North Face Etip Gloves, Isotoner SmartTouch Gloves, Burton Touchscreen Liner E-Tip Gloves, as well as many other cheaper makes.

A great present for almost everyone is the Kymera magic wand universal remote control. I bought one as a present for my parents and they’ve great fun with it.
For a while they were getting frustrated with having to use separate controllers for their TV, Virgin HD box and DVD player so I thought I’d resolve their issues with this novelty device.

The two main and obvious differences with the Kymera remote to other universal devices are that it’s shaped like a magic wand and has no buttons.
If you want to change channel or turn the volume up all you have to do is assign each function to a flick, twist, tap or big swish For example you could twist the wand to turn the volume up or down and flick it to change channel.

Not only can it operate TV’s and DVD’s it can also operate other infra-red enabled devices such as remote controlled toy helicopters, in fact, in can store functions of up to 13 separate controllers.

Priced at £49.99 it’s available at Amazon, Play, Firebox and ebay.

The good news is that now more chocolate producers than ever are recognising the need to provide alternative chocolate treats that are free from ingredients such as nuts and or gluten.
If you suffer from food allergies then a good place to find free from chocolate is Thorntons who now provide a really good range of chocolate for those suffering from allergies, which taste just as good as the regular chocolate and are often the same price.

The best type of gift tokens are those that aren’t specific to one store. There are even some shopping centres like the Trafford and Arndale centre in Manchester where you can get gift tokens that allow you to use them in all the shops contained within the centre.

This is a great idea, especially when it comes to the January sales. With tokens you can be sure that you are getting people a gift that they want.

There are some great online stores out there specialising in personalised gifts, from small things such as mugs and calendars to more expensive items such as engraved cufflinks or lighters. There is a great selection to choose from.

The best of both worlds which is also available is personalised champagne.

There are always plenty out there to choose from over the Christmas period and there are some great gift packs, which include extras such as moisturiser. Celebrity perfumes such as NYC by Sarah Jessica Parker and the new perfume by Jenifer Aniston always go down well.
Whenever I have received perfume I have always been very happy, and so this is what I also buy for others.
